Sophie Deligiannaki is a Helsinki-based multidisciplinary artist. She studied Classical Studies, Literature and Linguistics and she works as visual artist, curator and scriptwriter. In her works, Sophie often combines poetry with nature and strives to build a poetic bridge between women’s poetry and nature awareness. In her scriptwriting she focuses on animal and nature justice and the need of care and love. She works with bookbinding art techniques, painting, collage, poetry, sound and moving images.
Besides her own artistic works she works as curator of Helsinki Open Waves (HOW), which is a translingual community-driven art platform. Meanwhile, she works as a scriptwriter for short and documentary films.
